Research Interest |

| My main scientific interest is focused on inflammatory and neoplastic illnesses of gastrointestinal tract. Particularly, my research aims on microbes’ interaction with the mucosal immune system in health and disease. Differences in presence, composition and metabolic activity of gut microbiota and response of mucosal immune system have significant impact on disease pathogenesis. For this purpose, I´m using mouse models of human diseases, like intestinal inflammation and inflammation-related colon tumorigenesis. | ||
