Research Interest |

| My
research interest is the diagnostics of necrotizing enterocolitis
(NEC). NEC is a severe and life-threatening disease of neonate
gastrointestinal tract. The aim of my research is to extend the
understanding of the pathogenesis of necrotizing enterocolitis, with
special focus on the inflammatory response and on the gut microbiota. I
would like to find applicable biomarker for early diagnosis of NEC and
thereby provide quick intervention. For this purpose we are using
samples from neonates suffering from NEC and also animal model. |
